If Jeff Conine is Mr. Marlin I want to be the first to nominate Joey Votto as Mr. Bat. :)

Johnny Brent Cueto on the mound for the Lookouts tonight. Two innings are in the books and it is all zeroes for JBC. 4 ground outs and two fly balls. No score.

Nothing. He gets to just keep getting better seeing pitchers he has rarely seen and learning different situations that continue to be new for him.

He has the opening day 1B spot in 2008 waiting for him.

It seems like the GCL Reds have had as many games off as they've played.

Cueto having a offnight with his offspeed stuff. Of course with Bailey, ever night is a off night in the AAA/Majors. Shows you the different caliber of hitter between AA and AAA.

Heck, Fisher showed better development of a slider/changeup combo than Bailey this year.

Maybe he has to prove that he is older than he really is.

are u watching the game on tv? because he has only given up 1 run and 4 hits in 6 innings. he seems to be pretty effective.

Can't complain about that. He is a little overwhelmed by these levels, but when you take a walk, it still means you can produce.

Dickerson: 2-4 with a solo homer and his 13th stolen base on the year.

Bruce and Janish are both under the mendoza line in Louisville.

It's kind of refreshing to see Bruce struggle. You always want a prospect to have to struggle some so he learns from his mistakes.

Either the Reds will open a spot by dealing Conine or Hatteburg, or he'll come up in September. Until there's a spot for him to get regular ABs, he's better off in Louisville.

Votto has had one good month in AAA and three months that would make him a below average 1B. He has a .464 SLG percentage on the season. I, for one, am concerned.

He is hitting line drives all over the place. I am not worried about him at all so long as he continues to hit the ball hard consistantly, which he is doing.

And he has one of the best OBP % in AAA. I think the power numbers will come around.

In my opinion, Ben Broussard + great plate discipline = Joey Votto.
