Anyone see Enquirer article on Berry?

They mention maybe he would wear a plastic piece under his hat while coaching 3rd base in regards to that minor league coach who died while being hit with a line drive. How come there is no mention in just wearing a protective helmet with ear flaps that players wear while batting. Am I missing something?

probably because the fielders wear hats, that would be my guess, and the main purpose of the helmet is for when you're hitting. just a guess though.
