In Sarasota Sean 'Lohse' Watson goes 2+ giving up 6 runs on 9 hits. OUCH!
Funky Tone Medina comes on in relief and has 3 scoreless frames so far. Chris Valaika is 2 for 3 and finally sees the happy side of the Mendoza line.

PS my apologies to Tone Loc...it is actually Funky Cold Medina. There goes my street cred. =(

Stubbs 0fer1 with a walk and a run scored. Jordan Smith giving up 2 runs (only 1 earned) in 3 innings pitched so far. Dragons trail 2-1.

******Noticed this on the Midwest League scoreboard. Great Lakes feels so guilty about scoring 5 runs in the top of the 12th that they issue five walks to Beloit in the bottom half of the inning. They boot a ball in left field as well for good measure. Beloit goes on to score 6 in the bottom of the 12th to win.

Sarasota took the night off getting blasted something like 12-1. Aside from Funky Cold Medina not much to say on a positive note. So i won't.

Dayton down 5-4 late. Parker with a bomb. In an interesting side note Travis Webb walks four consecutive batters and yet the four walks yield nary a run. One base runner was caught freeling - oops, stealing.

Logan Parker has been playing well lately. He could turn out to be a real prospect in the future.

Right now hes hitting .397 in the month of July after hitting .309 in June.
He really started to pick it up after that horrible month of May he had in which he hit .207 and struck out 30 times.

I posted in one of my threads a while back that Parker looks like a hitter at the plate. He seems to have all the tools to be a decent bat at the major league level.
