According to WSCR 670 out of Chicago, the Phillies have acquired second baseman Tadahito Iguchi from the White Sox for 21 year-old Low A ball reliever Mike Dubee. Dubee, son of Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee, was originally drafted by the White Sox in 2004 but did not sign.

I believe Utley is out for a month with wrist surgery.

I'm kind of surprised there wasn't an ORG thread about Utley. There was one in Sun Deck, after all...

I believe this was a good move by the Phils. They rent a proven second baseman while Utley is out for a low A reliever.

Kenny Williams and Pat Gillick must have each other on speed dial with all the deals they make (Thome, Garcia, Iguchi).

No, I hadn't heard. It makes sense now.

Williams must have wanted Dubee to passed up the draft picks.

Knock on wood for Brandon Phillips. He's managed to stay healthy which is a fantastic asset for a player. Lord knows, the REDS have had their share of guys who can't stay in the lineup.

Dunn's ironman abilities is one of his greatest strengths, too.

You can pencil him in for 40 HR's 100 walks, 100 runs and 100 rbi's.

You'd think after getting damaged goods with Garcia, he wouldn't call him anymore.

Also the D-Backs dealt Hairston to San Diego!
