The Mets are close to acquiring second baseman Luis Castillo from the Twins for two minor leaguers, according to major-league sources.

Mets Class AA catcher Drew Butera and Class A outfielder Dustin Martin are among the players the Twins are considering.

The deal is expected to be finalized after a review of the medical records of the players involved.

Doesn't look like the Twins got much here - Double A catcher Drew Butera and High A outfielder Dustin Martin. Martin might become a fourth outfielder one day.

I think the Twins might need a bat now.. and the Reds could use Matt Garza...

I am really hoping we have either Garza or Slowey in our rotation this week.

Don't take the physical for granted. During a Twins game on ESPN a week or so ago they said that Castillo was playing through knee pain.

Won't happen if they have decided to become sellers.

That's what this deal says to me, Luis may not steal much anymore but he certainly gets on base enough, why dump him? :dunno:

Even if the Twins are sellers, they won't be giving up Garza, not unless they get a breath taker of a deal.
