I was watching the game log on C. Trent's blog and noticed that with his stolen base tonight, BP became the first Reds 2B to go to 20/20 since Little Joe in 1977. With 2 months to go, is there any doubt he'll make it to 30/30? I'll admit I was in the camp last week that thought they should be shopping him, if for no other reason than to bust it up and stock pile young talent. If he can play the defense he's playing and keep putting up numbers like that, I'll admit I've changed my mind. Maybe it's time to start talking LTC with BP and his agents.

He just needs 5 homers and 5 stolen bases this month and 5 homers and 5 stolen bases in September. So I think it's possible he goes 35/35.

I'd be surprised if he doesnt get to 30/30.

That might be a stretch based on games played and current trends. He'd have to get pretty hot to hit 15 homers and steal 15 more bags in 2 months, but 30/30 seems pretty realistic.

i like his chances and as stated i'd be suprised if he didn't reach 30/30 and that would be a great accomplishment for this kid.

He certainly has a good chance.

Trent's blog states that the official scorer is giving Phillips two stolen bases on that play so he is now at 20/21. Or would it be 21/20? =)
