So long as Mike Stanton has a job, I am fine with sending down a guy who just gave you two shut out innings out of the bullpen.

I am going to Saturdays game and was hoping for a Lizard outing. Thought with his 2 innings today it still had a chance...I guess not. So who am I going to see? Gosling...Santos? ugh.

"That's probably pretty fair to say," Lohse said. "I'm not big on using those things as an excuse, though. I just happen to be one of those guys that seems to happen to. But I'm not trying to put any blame on my teammates."

Lohse has pitched well lately, posting a 3-2 record and a 3.27 ERA in his past five starts, and holding opponents to a .231 average. He's tossed at least six innings in 15 starts. He's been largely inconsistent -- the 28-year-old posted a 0.77 ERA in his six wins, and a 7.97 ERA in his 12 losses.

Most of those losses included big innings.

The Phillies feel he's a better pitcher than that.

"At times, he's had trouble closing out innings," pitching coach Rich Dubee said. "We expect him to come in here and keep us in ballgames."

"My numbers are what they are," Lohse added. "I had a couple bad games here and there that kind of skewed the numbers."

wasn't sure where to put this but is this guy serious?

what a joker....he stunk in half his starts...when ur e.r.a is over 10 in half your starts, screw run support you aren't going to win

i dislike that character

If only the Lizard could throw left handed, doesn't even have to do it well

Reds management sent Elizardo Ramirez down because he got hitters out , it made the other relievers feel bad. They didn't want the moral of the pen to suffer.

Wayne has spent most of his time, energy, some pretty fair trading chips and a bunch of Bob's money to improve this bullpen.

Am I wrong to doubt WK's ability to identify, sign, and put talented players in the best position to succeed?

Sometimes I wonder, I really do.

...and Santos is still with the team, right? (or did I miss something)
