I have not yet seen anything that would indicate the problem.

This is all Gameday has.

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Kyle Lohse left the game due to an injured arm.

This is all Gameday has.make me wonder if he got hit by a batted ball. The last play of the bottom of the first was

"Jones lines out sharply, Lohse to Howard".

The Phillies website says he left with a forearm injury so he could have been hit by a line drive.

I was watching the game (WGN).. he got nailed by a line drive to end the first inning that easily could have injured him

So one could say he was getting hit pretty hard then?

Lohse exits game with forearm injury

By Ken Mandel / MLB.com

CHICAGO -- Kyle Lohse's Phillies debut lasted 29 pitches.

The right-hander, acquired on Monday from the Reds, left his start after being hit on the right forearm before making the final out of a rough first inning.

He was diagnosed with a right forearm contusion.

Lohse took a shot from his former teammate, Jacque Jones, with two outs and the bases loaded, after Lohse had hit two batters in a row, Aramis Ramirez and Cliff Floyd, and walked Mike Fontenot to force in a run. J.D. Durbin, whose spot in the rotation had been taken by Lohse, began warming while the Phillies batted and took the mound in Lohse's absence.

Pitcher Adam Eaton hit for Lohse in the top of the second.

Lohse had been having a stressful inning, but escaped only allowing one run. Catcher Chris Coste helped out by gunning down Alfonso Soriano trying to steal second base.

This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.

What a rough debut with the Phillies. Lee doubles off Lohse, he hits the next 2 batters, then walks in a run, then gets hit with a line drive and has to leave all in one inning.

Well, it looks like "bad" Lohse was injured. Does that mean only good Lohse gets to pitch now?

What was Adam Eaton doing PH'ing for Lohse in the 2nd? Surely they have another bat on the bench at that point?

On a positive note for the Phils, if it was "Bad Lohse" the Phillies got him out of there before any crooked numbers could be put on the board.

Hopefully he's ok and "Good Lohse" shows up for his next start.

Considering that the Cubs scored only one run in the first, the worst-case scenario for the Phillies was that they were down 1-0 in the second when Lohse was scheduled to bat. I doubt that they wanted to use a position player to pinch-hit in the second inning (assuming that they--like most other clubs in today's game--only carry five position players on their bench).

Reminds me of the John Smiley arm injury shortly after the Graves trade

Was that the hideous arm breaking? That was ugly.
