I know this is wrong for so many reasons, but given Johan Santana's recent ripping of his front office and the need for bats in Minnesota, anyone think this would have a chance to work?

Dunn and Bailey for Santana

Dunn would have to waive his no trade clause. Santana and Dunn both would be FAs end of the year so you would have to have plans to sign them somehow. But the reds need pitching, MIN needs hitting and Ryan and Krivsky love to deal.

Match made in heaven? or off my rocker? (more likely)

How is it that we always give up two studs for the other team's one?

Bailey is far from a stud just yet.

I can't see Santana wanting anything to do with signing long term here

Well, yes, you're right about that, but why is it always our stud plus our top prospect (or nearly so) and their stud?

when hes the best pitcher in baseball it would be worth it... Santana won't sign long term here.

No.. I'd rather give them Dunn for Garza or Liriano and Span

The Twins are not going to be trading for Adam Dunn.

Yeah.. I don't think they are trading Johan Santana either.. but it's fun throwing trade ideas at a wall and seeing if they stick..

I don't think they are trading Johan Santana if they can't sign him they will trade him because he can bring a load of talent, unlike most any other player in the game.
