You got that right, brother.

And it's still just the top of the 7th.

Actually, Garret needs another AB with a couple of runs on in order to set the record for the best night ever.

Anderson is up now with 2 on....

We'll see. :)

Didn't get it (grounded out to SS on a ball behind second that didn't quite have enough to get through) but a great night none the less.

Missed the AL RBI record by one, ML record by 2.

The most memorable offensive performance in a game IMO was when Robert Person (a pitcher) hit 2 HR's and drove in 7 RBI's (grand slam and 3-R homer) in one game in 2002 for the Phillies. Turns out that was the only 2 hits all that year for Person.

Considering the opponent, it's a shame it wasn't 20 :)

Are we remembering "Hard-hittin' " Mark Whiten's twi-nighter against the Reds?

And there was Rick Wise's two homers while pitching a no-hitter.

I once drove in 14 runs in a game of whiffle ball against the neighborhood kids.

Just saying I deserve some props too. My friend Allen had a wicked slurviderastball and I took him deep several times.

Tony Cloninger (pitcher) hit 2 grand slams and an RBI single in a game in a 17-3 win.

Yeah, Cloninger once won 24 games in a season (1965) with the Braves. Once the Reds got him, he couldn't pitch--sounds like today.

My vote for best two day period of all-time goes to Ty Cobb from May 5-6th, 1925.

Barry Larkin also had five home runs in two games.

I was at that Mark Whiten game (actually a double-header) in '93. Reds pitching gave up 28 runs for the day. Lit up like a Christmas tree.

You have to make an out to record a sac fly!

Last week?

Your point? Just because I'm bigger and faster than the neighborhood eight year olds doesn't mean my stats aren't legit. ;)
