I've seen on Baseball Tonight where they're doing the Top 5 homers for each team like last's Top 5 Web Gems. Have they already done Cincinnati's? And if they did who made the list

I downloaded it last year from MLB.com's now defunct Digital Download service. Used to be you could download full-game broadcasts for something like $2.99 per game.

Anyone know where Johnny Bench's homerun to RF in the 1970 playoffs versus the Pirates that Al Michaels called; "Back goes Clemente.... It's gone!" , placed? I thought that would be #2 behind the Perez homer.

I'll tell you what should have beaten Dunn's. How bout Wily Mo Pena on bobblehead day 2 years ago? Was that not the greatest game, and most clutch homerun in recent Reds history? Not to mention that was his second of the day.

ah, wily mo bobblehead night. I remember driving home down 75 from that game, my whole upper body sticking out the window proudly shouting "Wily Mo" at the top of my lungs, shaking the bobblehead for all it was worth at passing cars. Classic.

He got it!

Just saw you were from BG. I lived there for four years. I hope the flooding has subsided up there.

That was ridiculous. That's the only reason I have yet to pawn off my Wily Mo bobblehead.

Haha, nice. Although I think you might need more "e"s in the word "be" in your sig.

1. Perez's game winning homer in the 75 series

None of those three would even be in my top 5 .

Just off the top of my head would be Bench's HR in game 5 of the 1972 playoffs, Eric Davis' HR in the 1st inning of the 1990 World Series and I have always heard things about a HR hit by Hal King.

BTW, Perez never hit a game winning HR in the 75 series. He hit a HR off of an euphus pitch in game 7 but it didnt even tie the game. It made the score 3-2.

Is it just me or does it seem like George Grande does the same homerun call every time Dunn hits one? They always include the phrase "Its Dunn and gone."

I think thats Grande favorite thing to say when calling a game.Oh. Okay. Grande isn't my favorite announcer but he's okay. I like Brantley more than anyone else. I know alot of people don't agree with this but I think Nuxall would be alot better on tv than on radio. he talks too slow for radio. I think he would be perfect for tv.:beerme:

Brantley is great at evaluating pitchers and talking about mechanics and whatnot, but he's horrible at play-by-play. He never says where the ball's hit or goes into any detail about the more elaborate plays. Sometimes I swear I can hear Marty crying in the background.

"And a high drive! Hit back into deep right field! Junior has just knocked the door down to the 500 club! Number 30 touches 'em all, and what a father's day gift for Senior!"

Marty's call of Dunn's Walk-off grandslam was also great! I remember driving home from that game and listening to it over and over! It was the greatest game I had ever been to!

One of my favorite moments as far as Reds home runs go was Larkin's first career grand slam. I was so happy for the guy as was everyone else. Just the thought of that day makes my heart jump for joy again. I wish I had video of it, it was a truly magical moment, even though it had no real impact past the fact that it was Larkin's first. That has to go down as one of my favorites.

I just think the way that Marty called it got my hopes up for a homer that just went out. If it would have been off the wall I would have hunted him down.:D

I remember the ball traveling into the bleachers in left field. I think he hit two that day. The game, as far as I can remember, was back and forth. I believe Eduardo Perez hit a Grand Slam. There was a total of seven homers hit that night between the the clubs. My girlfriend and I had great seats and I remember jumping up once the ball left Pena's bat. The place went crazy. It was a great game.
