Here's a nice article about some of the top announcers for MLB teams. Marty is mentioned. One obvious omission,IMO,is Jon Miller. I think he is one of top two or three in the business.

When I was a kid back in the seventies, if the Reds weren't playing at night (or after games were over) I'd look for the Detroit station so I could listen to Ernie Harwell. One of my all-time favorites.
