Can't get swept by the Pirates in a DH.

I agree, I'd love to see another 6 game winning streak start tonight, hopefully we see good Arroyo

It would be very Reds-like if they did get swept today. Then we could finally scrap these ridiculous notions of winning the division this year and get back to building for 2008...

I'm shocked at the two line-up cards filled out by our manager.

Shocked!

Another blows opprotunity in the first.

If we're not careful, this could turn into a game thread.

Well, that wouldn't be too bad. ;)

Hopefully the Reds can chase Maholm early and wear out that bullpen for the next two games. Tracy already used 5 guys out of his pen in the first game. That combined with a Game 2 win and Arroyo going 7 or 8 innings and I wont feel too bad about splitting this DH.

Anyone else hear BP yell "F***" after a few of his quick outs tonight?

I guess its ok to lose a double header to the last place club

Should have been Bray in the 7th, Burton in the 8th, Weathers in the 9th.

Not real sure what's so hard about that. Instead we mess around with Majewski.

Would be nice if Adam Dunn could not bobble balls and throw them in to the stands also :dunno:

You just mention the word pennant race and it brings out the worst in this team.

OMG.....Chris Welsh just made my day.

His mention of "pwned" just made me LOL on a day that was a disaster.

Haha. I'm guessing his daughter or someone young must have let him in on it. He laughed rather sinisterly at the end to make it seem like he thought we was cool. lol

Is there some internal rule about not making defensive moves late in close games? Dunn's bat was still needed abviously, but would it be any less effective if say he were moved to first base an inning before the bad throw?

Hes so awful at D he is unable to play 1st. Yea I am going to get harped on for pointing out Dunn screw ups because this board flat out loves him but he very likely could have cost us the 2nd game tonight with 2 simple plays.

His throw from the field on the triple cost us game two. I love Adam Dunn, but I cringe every time a ball goes his way in the outfield.

I dont know what the heck kind of throw that was that but even if Sanchez is going to safe you have to make it close. Its as if he picked the ball up and just threw it with his eyes closed.

I have been a supporter of Majewski's, so I will admit I was disappointed that he and Bray did not do well in the nightcap. it happens to every reliever, though.

Anyone else ever notice how Adam Dunn looks like Herman Munster in the field? Uncoordinated, no mobility...a mess!

He takes a step forward then takes 2 steps backwards.

The Pirates are only 1/2 a game behind us now. :(
