Does anybody have a video of the Brandon Phillips play that won the game tonight? They didn't have it on Reds.com highlights.

I really want to see it so hopefully it'll be on the net soon.

Ditto here...I didn't get home from work until late and haven't seen it replayed yet.

FSN Cincy was blacked out here and FSN Pittsburg didn't have the game on.

Well apparently it wasnt even good enough for baseball tonight to use it as a web gem. Show is just pathetic.

No kidding. Their #1 tonight was a play by Mike Lamb that while nifty, is one that Edwin Encarnacion makes probably three times a week. In other words, it was nothing special. I've never seen a play like the one Phillips made, and may never again.

espn is ridiculous. how in the world does this play get left off of web gems?!?!?!!? If Derek Jeter had made a similar play it would have been shown every 5 minutes and talked about as one of the greatest plays ever.

Now I remember the reason that I haven't cared to watch much of Baseball Tonight and ESPN.

Anyone have an email for baseball tonight so I can write in and complain?

You're exactly right with that point. That's why I hardly watch them anymore.

ESPN didnt even show the Harangs 2 hit CG shutout last night did they? At least I dont think they did. They made sure to point out that clemens had a no hitter through 5 though.

Look, if NY Yankees, BoSox, Mets & maybe the Angels or Dodgers aren't involved, ESPN isn't interested in showing it. They could make an hour show out of NYY & BOSox, that's all they care about. How many times have they featured anyone else first on their shows?

I dont care what they show 1st really but they seem to completely ignore things just for the sake of breaking down if Joba Chamberland would have intentionally thrown at a guy, or if umps made correct calls on plays a week ago.

The highlight is on reds.com now but it's poor quality.

ESPN had it as the #1 play of the day on Sportscenter

i was in attendance and that play was absolutely phenonmeonal best i've ever seen from a second baseman.

That is just unbelievable. If Phillips doesn't win the Gold Glove, then they just need to stop giving out that award. If I was the 2nd baseman who did win it, and not Phillips, I would hold a PC and say, "hey, this needs to go to Brandon Phillips".

Brandon Phillips is now entering the realm of superstar. He's got 7 multi-hit games in a row (which I think moves him past some guy named Babe Ruth or something) and we all know he makes a spectacular defensive play almost every night on the field. And Cincy got him for virtually nothing.

Thank you, Wayne Krivsky!

Brandon Phillips is quickly starting to establish himself as possibly the best to play 2b in 20 or so years.. both defensively, and his skillset which can deliver a 40/40 guy... simply amazing..

Saddest part.. B Phill has said he wants a career contract to play in CIncy(he grew up a huge reds/barry larkin fan), and if we were to lock him up now he would be cheaper than if we wait until the end of the year when he wins a GG.. there is no show of this being a fluke year.. he has grown the last few years as they go..

I just watched that video for the like 25th time. I am still geeked out by that play. Phillips is a pimp.

With his age why not go 8 or 9 years for 68 mil..?

He will get a deal for $3-4 million at most in arbitration, but hey let's give him a giant raise so we don't have the money to improve the pitching! Not to mention a 8 or 9 year deal for a guy who has a career .305 OBP! He's sure to be just as good at age 35 as he is this season in his athletic peak right? Where do I sign?

you are right.. his defense is reflective of his 305 obp... and he will obviously go down in skill level, not improve at all.. the thought process of not wanting to sign long term deals with people who are proving themselves is the reason our team doesnt win...

Also if you take out his "sophomore season"(his first real season, he has an obp of about 330..
