The buyer of Bonds' "756" ball has put up a web site (http://www.vote756.com/marcecko/) asking the public to vote on what he should do with the ball. The choices are clever.

Brand it.

Personally, I like the idea of blowing it up.

The "good" vote will split between Brand and Banish.

Bestow will sneak in for the win.

RFS62, he already bought it for 3/4th's of a Million Dollars, I believe.

I voted send it to outer space as I feel the Hall-of-Fame might display it with the Asterisk not being shown (against the wall or something).

Although being sent to outer space might give Bonds the feeling of immortality as it drifts forever through space. It's mostly organic, so I imagine it would break up sooner or later.

Brand it, for sure. This guys already rich as he owns like a shoe company or something.

Branding it would be sweet, but then cooperstown wouldn't display it anyway :(

Brand it everywhere, so an asterisk is visible no matter how the ball is displayed.

I voted "Bestow it"

Like it or not, it's a part of history now.

I was looking for the "SHOVE IT" option.

I was looking for "give it to some kids who don't know any better so that they can play baseball with it."

Inject it with a foreign substance so it balloons to three times its original size.

Then it would be a softball. ;)

It's a promotional stunt by a hip hop clothing company owner into self-promotion. It's not the first to draw attention to his clothing label. Kind of fitting that the tainted record ball is being used as such.

I doubt there's anyway he could've gotten this much pub for his brand for only $750K in traditional advertising.

I've never heard of him until this stunt, but apparently he put a video out where it appeared they snuck in and did a graffiti attack on air force one. It was a hoax of course but looked real and drew a lot of attention to his company. On the voting page there is a nightline clip on him, a jewish suburbanite running a hiphop business, and he says outright it is time to promote himself in addition to his company. He has become wealthy off hiphop culture and now it is time to feed his ego.

Here's an idea. Give it to Steve Bartman.

This question is going to be asked for many years to come:

"Daddy, why is there a big star in that baseball?"
