Yeah, there have been a few obscure names popping up lately.

One name that I was surprised to see for the Reds was Curt Flood. Somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind I knew that he had been a Reds farmhand, but I hadn't expected to see him. I heard a Frank Robinson interview once where he said that Curt Flood, Vada Pinson, and himself had all played for the same high school team, and that Celtics Hall-Of-Famer Bill Russell was also on that team. Frank also said that he (Robbie) was a better basketball player than Russell was a baseball player.
