Watch closely. It's only 9 seconds.I clicked the one after that about the kid breaking his leg doing a dunk, thinking maybe he fell on it. I clicked it and that was absolutly horrifying. The kid went up for a dunk, on a trampoline, and his leg went inside the rim. He came down and I guess he snapped his leg. That was nasty.:(

Was that supposed to be funny? ...sexy? ...entertaining? ...sad? I found it made me want my 3 minutes back. :thumbdown In fact, I feel much of YouTube is like that...there's just soooooo much it's hard to find the useful and/or entertaining clips. However, they do exist.

Many of us remember when it happened. Some interesting tidbits...
Referring to the anger Paul Wilson directed at Kyle Farnsworth, Cubs manager Dusty Baker said, "I can't read lips and I can't hear that far. All I know is if somebody is coming out towards me as the aggressor, starting stuff, you've got to do what you've got to do. (Wilson) was coming towards Farnsy. He probably won't come toward him anymore." Baker thought only Wilson should have been ejected, implying that Farnsworth was acting in self-defense. "Where I come from, if somebody is coming at me aggressively, I'd probably do the same thing," Baker said. "I hope I can body-slam and kick his (butt) the way his was kicked today, know what I'm saying?"
Baker wondered aloud if brawling also has become a Reds habit. "I have a question. Didn't they just get into a fight a couple days ago?" he said, referring to the Phillies encounter. "They've got some bad blood brewing with a lot of people. I know we're not the club to have bad blood with because we've got some guys who can hurt you with that ball. I don't suggest too many people get in some knockdown war with us."

That Phillies brawl will never be matched. Whoever was pitching for the Phillies should be thankful to whoever the catcher that was that took Dunn down from behind. Then Ray Olmedo flying in and Sean Casey losing his mind, oh good times.

I was totally at that Wilson/Farnsworth game in the upper deck. I went with my dad as we were in Cincinnati seeing family and saw that it was a businessman's special game and tickets were available so we went. Great memories.

I was actually at that game in the nose bleeds with my gf at the time, who happened to be from south Jersey (30 mins. away from Philly). As Dunn took off for the pitcher she yelled, "Tackle him!" and then cheered as Dunn was brought down by the catcher.
Things never did work out between us.

Catcher = Mike Lieberthal
Pitcher = Carlos Silva
June 13, 2003: The brawl, which occurred during the sixth inning of the Reds' 15-1 blowout, started shortly after Jason LaRue made it a 12-0 game with a two-run homer in the sixth. Carlos Silva began throwing inside on Adam Dunn to ignite the scrum. A warning was issued on a inside toss at Dunn's waist, but Silva threw behind the batter on the very next pitch. Dunn started slowly towards the mound at first, but then made a break for Silva. However, catcher Mike Lieberthal tackled Dunn by the ankles and the big outfielder fell to the ground. Silva took swings (cheap shots) at the fallen Dunn as both benches emptied and a brawl ensued.

I was at that game sitting on the first base line about 20 rows up. One thing that is always forgotten about that game was it was the last good game Jimmy Haynes pitched in a red uni. I believe he also had a few hits to go along with his stellar pitching. Liberthal made one heck of a play in order to prevent Dunn from destroying Silva.

Dunn hit his 21st homer in the third inning, then got the Phillies fuming over his hit on Lieberthal in the fifth. He was waved home as he tried to score from second base on Ken Griffey Jr.'s single with the Reds ahead 10-0. Lieberthal got the ball long before Dunn arrived. Dunn lowered his left shoulder and bowled him over, but Lieberthal held on for the out.
