Thank Bob Cousy for killing the franchise in Cincinnati.
If Oscar and Lucas stick around and Riverfront Coliseum was built, there might have been a couple of NBA Championships around.

So yeah . . . Is Oscar Robertson playing for Chattanooga now or what?

Oh, whoops - forgot the other reason why I came here.

I was a big Royals fan in junior high and HS. All through the Big O era. I patterned my game after Oscar and wore his #14. Wore out my copy of "The Art of Basketball". Got down to quite a few Royals games at the Cincinnati Gardens.
The Royals just had the misfortune to be at there peak when the Celtic dynasty was in full swing. The Royals would give the C's a run for their money in the mid-60's playoffs, but always came up a game short. There were a couple years where the Royals had the Celtics on the ropes but the champion always came back.
The Royals always lacked a good big man. Wayne Embry, Walt Wesley, Connie Dierking, George Wilson, Luther Rackley, the Royals would send them up against Russell, Wilt, Willis Reed, Walt Bellamy, Zelmo Beaty, etc and get drilled. Slammin' Sam Lacey was supposed to be the savior but he was really a power forward.
Sorry Heath, I didn't see any championships coming to Cinci at any time.
