It's real simple.

Pick who you think will win.

For some added fun, say by how much.

Does OSU have regular-sized Tressel or Mini-Tressel? ;)

OSU by 11, though it will be a late defensive TD while LSU makes a final march that provides that large a margin.

If Hawaii beats Georgia then who care who wins this game?

Uhhhhh, Ohio State 72 LSU 6...but only if they play using mini-Tressels. I team of full-sized Tressels would make it much worse. :) edit - yachtzee beat me to the joke.... :(

Buckeyes by 4. The underdog in the title game has had to listen to how badly they're going to get hammered for a full month before the game every year. That will be in full force this year as I doubt many outside of Ohio will pick them. I say the chip on their shoulder will give them the edge they need...the talent level isn't that much different, imo.

The Bucks win in a close game and then, at least for a month or two, all this talk about the "superior SEC" will tone down a bit.

LSU by 6 in 3 OT's. LSU likes playing 3 OT games even though they lost the first two they played. They will finally win one against OSU. You have to remember this is essentially a home game for LSU. The Superdome will be at 70% LSU fans, maybe more. LSU has been anticipating this game all year and I would say they have a good chunk of the tickets bought up.

Just be sure to close this poll before the game. Last year the number of Florida votes got substantially higher AFTER the game.

The Empire Strikes Back- Ohio State wins.

I think LSU wins by 10. But after a month layoff, anything can happen.

Depends on which Todd Boeckman shows up. If we get the one from the first 10 games, Ohio State should win. If the Illinois and Michigan games Boeckman shows up, Ohio State doesn't have much of a chance. Ohio State has to be balanced.

Boeckman will play a big role, no doubt. I think the key is having a healthy Beanie Wells. If he is healthy the Bucks will have a running game to rely on, and that will open up the passing game for Boeckman. If Wells is unable to go LSU can pin their ears back and will have no problems frustrating the OSU offense.

I think the health of Wells is as big or bigger than the health of Dorsey.

Ohio State has to be balanced. To be fair, the Michigan Boeckman will not have to worry about showing up because of the dome. The Illinois game he was truly off (first year, one bad game, I'll take that anytime), but the Michigan game was all about the elements.

GLWhy wouldn't Wells be healthy? His ankle should have time to be dramatically improved and he played after appearing to tweak his hammy in the Michigan game, unless there's something you know that I don't.

A month is likely enough for his ankle sprain and tweaked hammy to fully heal, unless he tweaks one of them in practice. Things happen and they seemed to happen quite a bit to him this season. I'm not sure he was ever "healthy" all season long.

Ohio State wins by 86. LSU stinks, ya know.

If Hawaii wins over Georgia, there should be a split national championship.

Well, sure I want the Bucks to win it all, but I'm also pulling for Hawaii just because situations like this make more of a case for a playoff system. Not that we'll see that happen anytime soon, but an undefeated team being left out would strengthen the argument.

All I know is, OSU needs to win this game in regulation or else it will count as a victory for LSU.

OSU by 7. Low scoring affair. OSU runs the ball 80% of the time, LSUs offense is virtually stymied by the different looks the silver Bullets give them.

20-13 (late Garbage TD for LSU)
Mark it down!

For all the crap OSU got for it's schedule and "backing in" to the NC game (whatever that means), check out Hawaii's SOS, according to Sagarin:

-OSU 60th

-Hawaii 137th (remember, there are only 119 schools in I-A).

Sagarin's total ranking: OSU #2, Hawaii #16

OSU and Hawaii had one common opponent. Washington. OSU played Washington on the road. In fact, Washington is considered one of OSU's supposed cream puffs and that cream puff was having their way with Hawaii (at Hawaii) until they Willinghammed themselves out of a victory.

If they win, you'll probably have to deal with people calling them the "Luckeyes" again.

I got OSU winning by 7 as Tressel out-coaches Miles.
