Not sure if this was posted but some Reds news here.

Rotoworld

Reds claimed outfielder Drew Anderson off waivers from the Brewers.

This is hard to believe. Anderson, 26, hit .273/.324/.395 with 16 steals in 377 at-bats for Triple-A Nashville last season. In five seasons, he's posted an 800 OPS once, that coming in Rookie ball in 2003. He shouldn't have any sort of a career as a reserve outfielder.

It looks like the Reds claimed him from the Brewers and he'll take the last spot on the 40 man roster.

Just read rotowire and they mention he's 26 (27 as of June 9th) years old. They weren't impressed by last season's numbers in AAA. "Anderson hit a thoroughly unimpressive .273/.324/.395 at Triple-A Nashville last season..." Apparently just fill-in fodder.

Someone want to place odds that he's a lefty OF?

You called it. milb.com has him listed as a left handed batter, who throws right handed. I can't believe there wasn't a spot for Carlos Guevarra.

From Fay:

To clarify: Drew Anderson is not the Drew Anderson already in the Reds organization. This Drew Anderson is a left-handed hitting outfielder. (the Reds apparently cannot have too many of those). The other Anderson is switch-hitting infielder.

Hard to get too excited about this. Pretty low risk though...

The Reds seemingly cannot ever have too many fringe outfielders.

Not quite. Wayne still has his work cut out for him. There is still one more Drew Anderson (http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/A/Drew-Anderson-2.shtml)to acquire. But last year he played poorly as a 2B in the R Appalachian league, in his first pro season. He would be in either Billings or Dayton if acquired, so no, all 3 would not be on the same roster in Louisville.

This is the former Ohio State Buckeye outfielder isn't it?

Nope, that Drew Anderson is already a Red and has been since he was drafted out of THE Ohio State University in 04. The OSU Drew Anderson is primarily a 2b but has played some SS, 3B and a very capable outfield in the minors. If its helpful, the OSU Drew is Drew Michael Anderson and the ex-brewer/new Drew Anderson is Drew Thomas Anderson.

Funny thing; Topps messed up the OSU Drew Anderson's rooke card by putting Drew Thomas Anderson's signature it. I have one at home.
