Once a top prospect, the Kansas City Star now speculates that Justin Huber will be placed on waivers because he's out of options.

Career Minor league line of .288/.383/.495 spanning 672 games and for some reason was only given 98 AB at the major league level over 3 years.

Hell why not its not like Ross hits consistently.

Looking at his stats, he hasn't caught since '04. Since then he has been a 1B/OF. Not a lot of pop in the bat, so unless he could return to catching, not sure that this gains us a whole lot.

Maybe the RH bat we're looking for? At 25, maybe he can turn it around and be a regular in '09. Some of the KC people say that he's had injury trouble since 2005. Could be diamond in the rough.

It does seem like a good pick. I hope another team doesn't snag him before we're up though. He could be a steal.
