Add Quin Snyder and you really have to wonder how Duke has maintained a choir boy image.

Since their coach LITERALLY looks like a rat, everyone assumes he's not?

Tommy Amaker is a bad coach. No way around that. HIs teams in Michigan were poorly coached and you'd be hard pressed to find a lone Michigan fan who didn't think he was terrible.

Bob Knight's had a few of his proteges run programs that went on probation and even his biggest critics have said he was clean as a whistle.

The only coach under Knight that had a shady past was Dave Bliss at Baylor. Maybe I am missing somebody.

Actually, it wasn't, with the exception of Bliss, Knight proteges running programs into probation, it was Knight's hirings of Tates Locke(Clemson) and Norm Ellenberger (New Mexico) that raised eyebrows. Both were involved in scandals at their respective schools.

Steve Alford ran into a bit of trouble at Iowa trying to protect one of his star players accused of sexual assault. Eddie Sutton got into some trouble at UK. Does that mean Hank Iba was dirty too?

Not to nitpick, but how exactly does the fact that Steve Alford played for Bob Knight
while never serving on knight's coaching staff, qualify Alford as a Knight protege?

A fair question.

IMO, if the NCAA thoroughly conducts acts of due diligence, they'll find improprieties, not necessarily Major, at all Major Universities. So I'm not here to suggest that Duke and Coach K are any more corrupt than the rest.

Yeah, he probably never learned a thing while he played under him.
