There is talk that he might not make the Indians. He's pitched real well this spring. Any interest on taking a flier on him if he's cut? I think it would be worth a try. It would give the Reds a little more wiggle room with Cueto or Volquez.

If this is the same Elarton that has a history of giving up the long ball (He gave up 32 in Clev and then 26 in KC). I dont think he's worth it, however he seems to be effective so its worth a shot if we have Fogg.

Would Ramirez be worthy of a minor league contract he was released from Mariners former Brave or not?

Mark Hendrickson is having a good spring, too.
It is so hard to determine whether spring success will translate into success during the season just by reading stats.
Elarton's history tells me that no matter what he does in spring training, he's going to put up a mid 5's ERA and give up a ton of long balls.

No on Elarton we have to many young guys to pick up an old washed up starter like Elarton.
