OK, I'm not a prude but this has got old very fast...and yes, I know the usual response "If you don't like it turn it off"...guess I just miss Burbank more than I thought I would but can WLW seriously not do any better than this??? Everyday it is nothing but Eddie and his "I've drank, snorted, shot up,ingested every drug or drink known to man or his I've had sexual relations with every drug addicted floozie because of the radio station I've worked at" routine...why does everyone think that is so hip??? Some of the topics from the last week that I heard on my way home from work..they wanted people to call in with their 1st sexual experience, your 1st sex talk with your kids,Lohan/Hilton sex tapes, somekind of prostitute/escort service representative,on+on+on....

What would you like two morons to discuss? Politics? Law?

Sex with floozies sounds like it would be right up their alley.

I enjoy their show as they also talk about the Reds, politics and the stock market. I record it every day on my XM MyFi radio unit.

I find their show painful. I wish they had more guests, and some elements of the Burbank show, like off beat guests, or even "the little news". They make me wish I had XM.

What, Tracy Jones makes for horrible radio?!

When did this happen?

The first time he talked into a microphone.

WLW really sucks these days. The only reason that station is remotely worth listening to is for Reds games.

I posted the following on the Sun Deck and noticed this thread so i thought I would share it here as well.

This isnt exactly about extra innings but wlw in general.
Many times alot of these guys like to yap about other "stuff" more than most baseball related shows.
Example: I get off from work around 3:30 Cincy time most days and turn on wlw to get a reds update.
I think it was Thursday of this week that I wanted to know score and particulars which Seg normally gives and Jones/other guy said "let's forget the sports and talk about ..." some woman's jewelry(maybe Seg's wife)

They forget alot of times that people tune in at sports time to hear the sports and not a bunch of gab. Many other times, when Seg tries to give the sports, they are constantly interrupting about silly stuff.
Again..if I sat by my radio all day that would be fine, but many times I tune in for sole purpose of hearing the sports report.

Actually stuff like that is the reason, 20/20 sports and reds games are the only times I listen to WLW.

I love 700WLW...McConnell and Cunningham are daily listens for me....but it ends with Eddie and Tracy..."The Big One" made a mistake with this matchup...just do the right thing and put an end to this mistake and bring back the Furball....

I never thought I'd be in the minority when I say I like WLW's programming. Tracy is freaking hilarious. Eddie still needs some work. I would rather they had just let Trace do his own show. I used to stay up late after Reds games just to listen to his show. I also like Doc, though not as much as Furball. Doc's got solid opinions and brings up good topics. However, don't hear much of him because six is when I usually shut the radio down.

On Tuesday, Tracy announced he is getting married on 11/22/08.

EDIT: It could be an April Fools thing though.

I may also be one of the few but I love Tracy Eddie. Except for the reds I normally hate everything WLW puts on the radio. I don't like Cunningham or McConnell. Doc was an ok writer until he got a superior attitude due to his show. I just enjoy listening to them.

WLW jumped the shark about 10 years ago. Are they still even broadcasting?

Paul O'Neil was an in-studio guest on Tuesday. A great interview with stories from his minor league days, Sweet Lou etc.

I like the new show. Burbank stuff was getting pretty dang old -real old. You can only listen to Gilbert Gnarley sketch so often.

Fingers and Jones are kinda finding their way, but 3 out 5 days of the week -it's pretty entertaining.

I think Fingers/Jones is perfect for the fall guy.

I didn't think Fingers, Jones or the Fall Guy swung that way. Who knew?

I am going to go back on my original post on this thread and say I'm going to give the guys a break....I actually got to talk to the Tracer after his show at GameDay on Opening Day and he basically admitted to me that most of the stuff he says is "joking around"...coming from that angle--I can take his "superior attitude" for what it is--schtick...

And that may be but everybody uses that excuse now. Say something controversial and you can always explain it away by saying that you were just joking around.

The only thing controversial things I have ever heard Tracy say is that he likes Old Milwaukee Light and the Strip Steak is under rated.

A great interview Tuesday on the show with Tommy Helms JR. He talked about his drug problems and the not so perfect relationship with his father. A very honest person who did not hide anything.

Did Tommy Jr. mention he has not worked EVER? Besides playing a little ball he still lives off of his Dad. Tommy is as nice a person as you could meet. Sits with Castellini in Mr. C's box quite a bit.

Wow!

I recorded Tuesdays show and just listened. What an interview SEG did with Griffey Jr. following the USA Today article. If you did not hear it, 700WLW.com has the PODCAST.

Count me in the group who likes the show. I listen everyday on my way home from work now, but I didn't when it first started up.

And seriously, how could anyone enjoy Burbank during his last year? He's been doing the same bits forever. It was old and stale. I could only listen to bits and pieces when he did "stump the band" or "sports or consequences".

Do the listeners really think that Dr. Bradford today is a real doctor? This is right out of the Phil Hendry Show.

I have a half hour drive home from work every day and I really miss Burbank. I listen to Eddie and Tracy just in case there are Reds or Bengals updates, but they are not Gary Burbank and Duke Sinatra.

Tracy Jones interviewed Burbank yesterday. He is playing a lot of golf and volunteering much of his free time to various causes. He reports he still does all his voices even when he is at home. He 's up for the Radio Hall of Fame. Also, he's playing in a band.

I love the show but I don't like it when Tracy continues to say "times are rough". He makes it seem like we are in the depression. I love his baseball and realtionship talk though.
