Stanton. Mercker. Bray. Freel. Hopper. Votto. Hatteberg.

I don't think Bray is on the bubble. I think he is definitely in. Hopper is most likely the backup CF, Freel may be on the team until hes traded. Votto starts at 1st, Hatte the backup until traded.

Bray shouldn't be on the bubble. But he still might be unless Stanton or Mercker is moved.

Hopper hasn't been playing too much lately. Freel being showcased? Hopper out of favor?

Votto could be on the bubble if the Reds plan to start Hatte. Hatte could be on the bubble if the Reds plan to start Votto.

The suspense is unbearable.

Cincinnati Reds Signed pitcher Dan Serafini to a minor-league contract and assigned him to Louisville of the International League (AAA); recalled outfielder Stephen Smitherman from Chattanooga of the Southern League (AA); traded pitcher John Koronka to the Chicago Cubs for pitcher Phil Norton.

Out of those you mentioned I think only Mercker is on the bubble. I think Homer (AAA), Gil, The two Andys, Caberea - guys like that are the bubble guys.

Homer Bailey hopes his new training regimen will help him land a spot in the big leagues.

I guess that means Sarafini won't be posting on Redszone this summer.

I seriously hope so, on all accounts.

Well, it really didn't work the first time - might as well try it all again.
I wonder if Bowden and Boone will get another job, though. I hear Montreal is looking for another GM...

My instinct is that of the position players listed in this thread -- Freel, Hopper, Votto, and Hatte -- at least one won't be a Red for very long. (I do think Votto will be a Red.)

Moving one or two of the bench guys would explain why the team has kept Hairston, Cabrera, Green, and Phillips in camp for so long.

I'd be shocked if there aren't at least one or two small deals before Monday
