I was surprised this Reds team could score nine runs in a game. Then I saw who was pitchng for the Padres.

Funny, the only two postion players still with the Reds a year later were Taubensee and Reese.

Was that the year Pokey Reese booted three balls?

Chris Stynes played for the Reds through 2000.

Right year, but wrong game. This was Game 2 of the 1998 season. Pokey committed four errors on Opening Day, March 31.

People paid money to watch the Reds that year.

Interesting.

Interesting.

1998 was the year I finally came back from the 1994 strike, and went to a ball game again. I wasn't able to get to Riverfront that year, but I was able to catch the Reds twice on the road--once at Comiskey Park vs. the White Sox, and once at Three Rivers Stadium vs. the Pirates.
