With the mix of Valentin not running out the "single" and being lazy creating a target for pitchers (according to Cowboy), Dunn showing up hungover for opening day and referring to Opening Day as a "hassle," my heart in my throat every time a ball is hit to Encarnacion, Griffey almost running over Patterson on a ball that was clearly the Center Fielder's and not looking back at him after he did it, I'm getting a bad feeling. Welcome to last year...

Wow. Great post. Nothing better than making up idiotic rumors. People should be banned for crap like this.

"Flu like symptoms": In baseball parlance, 90% of the time that means hungover. Ask anyone who has played the game. Now, there is a 1 in 10 chance he actually was sick...

There's the irrefutable evidence I was looking for.

This is the first I've heard of anything like this. If it's true and he really was feeling sick, let's do some quick math:

1. Going from 80's and sunny to rainy and cold in the span of two days messes with people.

2. It's a known fact that the flu or some bug went through the clubhouse in Spring Training the last week to 10 days.

I'd forgotten just how bad the overreactions can be around here....

Is it just me or is the report post button not working?

I wonder if there were any reports of the flu going around the Reds clubhouse? Like about 3-4?

He couldn't possibly have had the flu. I'm betting he's actually coming off of massive steroid, HGH and Vitamin A use.

OK. I figured it was made up because I didn't hear or read that anywhere else.

These are outlandish, childish statements that the 2008 version of RZ will not tolerate.

Closed. Take your Prozac, people, it's game 1 of 162.
