This was a big worry of mine, so I'm glad to see he had a reasonable pitch count this afternoon!

And Cueto was due up 2nd the next inning. I thought for sure Dusty would give him one more inning.
I wonder if Dusty is trying to rid himself of his reputation of over working his pitchers. Either way, I was happy he pulled him.
Until Stormy loaded the bases. :)

And if the Reds are in a playoff chase, just wait until August and September, especially.

More outings from Weathers like yesterday, and he'll be sure to go over 100 in the future.

A stronger bullpen, especially the middle relief and set-up guys, will help to reduce the workloads of the SP's.
Another bullpen season like we have been seeing around these parts the last few years will lead to a lot of pitches. The Reds need no more proof than to look at what a 129 pitch outing did to Arroyo's performance for the month afterwards. And he's got a rubber arm!
A poor bullpen will force Dust into a decision box, and he'll have to decide if he wants to win, or wants to save arms. Narron's job was in jeopardy; he chose to try to win games. It ultimately backfired on him.
