most amazing thing about Fogg to me:

Year IP K/BB BB/9 K/9 H/9 HR/9 WHIP OBA SLG OPS BABIP
2004 178.1 1.24 3.33 4.14 9.74 0.86 1.45 351 441 792 280
2005 169.1 1.60 2.82 4.52 10.42 1.44 1.47 346 480 826 285
2006 172 1.55 3.14 4.87 10.78 1.26 1.55 359 504 863 301
2007 165.2 1.59 3.21 5.11 10.54 1.25 1.53 359 495 854 298
Respective ERAs those years:
4.64
5.05
5.49
4.94
and yet, there's virtually no change in the periphrials...outside of the HR/9 from 2004...

i'll let someone else look it up, but what kind of run support has Fogg had to warrant the respective records of:

11-10
6-11
11-9
10-9

I was down there tonight to watch his pitiful performance. I'd say "absolute joke" sums him up pretty well. If the Reds want to get serious this season, they have to get him the hell out of the rotation and the hell off the roster.

Watching Fogg pitch is just like watching Milton pitch.

Well I only have so much control over it; that's what happens when you pony up for a 20-game package. Tonight's game was part of the package so I reluctancy went to the circus to see a clown fail miserably at his job. I certainly won't ever buy tickets as a walk-up if Fogg's on the mound though, that's for sure. That's the same rule I applied to Milton as well.

It's a shame the Reds marketing department couldn't put together an anybody but Josh (insert adjective here that ends in -ing) Fogg pitching season ticket package.

http://www.redszone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1590115&postcount=60

Tomorrow's a night that the offense needs to wake up from its hibernation. I expect Fogg to get lit up, especially against the Phillies, though if the Reds offense wakes up then they'll give themselves a decent shot to win. I do think it's likely to take at least six or seven runs offensively to pull out a win tomorrow night.

Looks like even my estimate of necessary runs for a win came up short too.

Thanks, Josh Fogg. Job well done, dude.

At the time he was signed, nobody knew how well Cueto and Volquez were going to perform in ST. It was a 1 year deal for very little money. It wasn't a sexy move, but it was needed for depth as evidenced right now. There is not a better option at this moment in time than Fogg is.
