Most on this board were ready to ship Lohse to Siberia last season. You can't have it both ways.

I wish we woulda signed Lohse. I pretty much knew he'd start with two scoreless outings. ;)

O era now we will see after his next two starts, remember he started off good last year then tanked.

I don't care how well he pitches this year. I still didn't want him back.

Lohse IS Fogg. These two guys are mirror images of each other. Not in terms of stuff or style but rather in terms of consistancy. They are both capable of having tremendous outings and then following it up with one of the biggest stinkers of the year. That being said, I don't see Kyle being satisfied with a #5 role.
The biggest reason why I prefer Fogg over Lohse is their contracts. That #5 spot is a one year place holder for Homer or Belisle (or another young arm). In 2009 I don't want to see either Fogg OR Lohse sucking up innings over a young gun. So for now, the cheapest innings eater is my preference. And that's Fogg.

What was all the crap about Lohse's agent Boras trying to get him a Milton like multiyear, about $20-$30 mil deal? Then he signs with the Cardinals for like 1 year and $3-4 mil. Boras and Lohse must have been smoking some serious stuff to think they were going to get that kind of deal.

Remember when Cincy's own Carl "Tuffy" Rhodes hit 3 HR's on opening day years ago? It's like that. If one or two outings made you a superstar then we would be getting Ron Villone's spot in the Hall ready!
