Louisville is on MiLB GameDay Audio, but I'm not sure Sarasota and Dayton are available. Chattanooga's game at 8pm is on the radio.

Bruce just hit a standup triple deep to right field to plate two runs in the top of the 1st.

Heisey: 0-1
Valaika: 1-1

Frazier and Waring are lighting that league up. I didn't even realize Frazier already had six walks until I just looked it up. Dude has an on-base percentage of .611 at this very moment.

I might have to get up to Dayton and try to grab some tickets somehow if the Reds plan on keeping those guys there for a bit.

Juan Francisco is on fire right now - that's his 5th double in 19 atbats.

Travis Wood: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K

If Wood stays healthy he could lead the minors in K's this season and possibly be the Reds #1 prospect by the end of the season.

Frazier is going to be a major stud IMO. He was a great pick by Krivsky. I see him as a more athletic version of Kevin Youkilis with maybe a little more power.

Its funny, I talked to a scout friend of mine recently and I was complaining about Frazier being in Dayton and he told me that I should just be happy he is there because he probably shouldn't be in our system and he was real surprised Frazier was still there to be drafted when we came around. I told him that he was probably right, but they still should push him a little lol.

Frazier and Waring will be up in high A shortly. Then we should get a good clue how advanced they are. Frazier may be able to handle AA.

Hopefully Wood, Lecure can do well and give us some value to trade with.

Louisville leads 8-0 in the 4th inning.

Bruce: 2-3, HR, 3B

Daniel Perales was traded to the Reds today. They say that he is going to be assigned to Sarasota. Any predictions on which OF might be headed to Chattanooga? Stubby or maybe Heisey?

Reds Trade Coutlangus to Arizona
From the Reds:

Perales, 23, was selected by Arizona in the 22nd round of the June 2006 first-year player draft...last season at Class A South Bend he hit .282 and led the Diamondbacks organization with 92rbi while ranking among the Midwest League leaders in hits (156, 1st), extra base hits (58, 1st), doubles (32, 5th), runs scored (80, 3rd) and triples (10, 3rd)...he has been assigned to FSL Sarasota.
Coutlangus, 27, was designated for assignment as 1 of 11 roster moves on Opening Day.

Watching the Dragons game. Frazier just has that look. He carries himself like a big leaguer. It is just one game, but he does not swing at any pitch he doesn't want to swing at. Only swings at balls he can hit hard. Both he and Waring have a ton of power. Waring swings at bad breaking balls. Both walked in the 5th.

Take a look at the starts he put up this winter in the Mexican League; the last 8 or 10 were very consistently impressive. He was good this spring too whenever he got a chance. Couple of things, First for DD, the Dragons home opener has been on TV in the Dayton area every season I believe, and I assume going forward (or as long as the Dragon's attendance stays high) I wish I would have remembered that, could have watched a bit of it last night. I think they had about 10 live games last year or there abouts, then mixed in a bunch of replay games throughout the season. I'll have to check that schedule out.

When to the GCL reds start up? I'm interested to see how Merasco (I know I spelled that wrong, but close enough) starts out this season. He really struggled at the plate last year. IIRC he had some thumb issues, plus the obvious adjustment coming off of high school baseball. I assume he's realitively healthy, so I'll be interested to see what kind of stat lines he could put up. With the catcher spot so thin both in the organization and across baseball, it would be nice to see DM become a top level prospect by season's end and pushing into the top half of the annual top 100 lists

when BJ hits the ball this season, he's hitting .700. That won't last. Last year, he hit .375 when he didn't K.

Eric Davis's best major league year was .408 on balls in play, and Eric also got on base in other ways.

GCL and Billings being in Mid to late June, about 2 weeks after the Draft.
