2003 is the year Dunn and Kearns both got off to great starts, IIRC they combined to hit 17 homeruns in April and it looked they would each hit 40. Then Ray King happened. Kearns was on his way to super stardom until King fell on his shoulder. Dunn never did get it going after April and only finished with 27 homers before missing the last month and half of the season due to a thumb injury.

Lopes played 145 games for LA in 1973 but i am not sure if he started the season in LA or Alburquerque, but something I didn't realize was Lopes was 28 years old when he became the Dodger second baseman. Talk about a late bloomer.
