Anyone consider a Dusty and Sammy Sosa reunion? Sosa slugged .613 against LHP.

If it gets the Reds to the playoffs then I'm all for it.

I dont think so to many outfielders on the team and in AAA already that are better than Sosa at this juncture of his career.

I'd love to see him in Great American Smallpark. He would crush. Just not sure what he's asking for in a contract. Seems a lot of teams would sign him if he was on the cheap. I'm sure someone will pick him up this season.

Can he play 1st base?

If the Red trade away Freel and the price was right I think Sosa could be a good pick up. He could give Dunn and Griffey a day off every so often. And he could possibly play 1st base now and again. I'm sure he would help out a ton against lefties and he would love playing in GABP.

I'd be all for it. We need something. Maybe Sammy could get us going.

The thought of Sosa in a Reds uniform makes me want to throw up...

Sometimes you have to put aside the Steriods hatred and understand it's all about winning games. Dude crushed LHP last year without juice. If he puts the Reds in the playoffs then I could care less that he's been poked in the rear more than the girls walking around the street corners at night.

Makes sense, why not.

while on the topic of 90's MLB superstars, what about Mike Piazza? A RH bat off the bench that could fill in at 1st or C in a pinch, maybe not so much. but if we were planning on keeping Javy around as just a PH....just sayin

Piazza was discussed in the game chat today. Piazza can't field any more so he'd be just a pinch hitter which is just a wasted spot.

i think the assumption that Sosa could play a position these days, might be a bit flawed
