I was just wondering if they'll be skipping josh fogg this time around with the day off today? on reds.com it has harang vs. dempster for tomorrow, and on espn.com it has fogg vs. dempster.

i'm hoping they skip him because we have tickets for friday and i want to see cueto :D

I read somewhere that the Reds are pushing Fogg back one day.. Harang on Tuesday; Fogg on Wednesday. Their reasoning is.....don't over-use the "Young Guns". Neither Cueto or Volquez will pitch 200 innings this year.

This link says that Fogg will now pitch Wednesday.

Wouldn't the Reds have a better chance of winning that series if they switched Fogg and Harang around? Harang did good when he pitched against Zambrano last year.

even with our recent troubles, we could easily win 2/3, possibly sweep if fogg can get the job done.

You want Harang to be in a rhythm of pitching every 5th day. There's no point to change his routine just for a better "matchup" In fact there's a better chance of winning 1 game this way in the Harang/Fogg starts instead of a possible duel in both.

Ya never know.
I remember a game a few years ago at Wrigley which featured Prior (in his prime) vs Jimmy Anderson.
Yep Reds won ! So ya never know !

Yeah I have a feeling we will feel this way the whole season. Its nice to look at the pitching probables and be like, "Hey we have better pitchers than they!" We just have to hope the bats start to heat up sooner rather than later so the team doesn't start to lose moral, even though I think thats one thing Dusty is good at keeping up

As I said during the pirates series with maholm, I would almost rather face Zambrano than Lilly. Due to the lefty thing naturally.
Also with a lefty, you figure runs will be at a premium so may be better off with Fogg facing a righty.

Seriously, what in the Fogg are we doing with this Fogger in the rotation? He's awful.

I really don't want Todd Coffey to be lonely when he leaves Cincinnati, so I am now suggesting that Josh Fogg join him...

Seriously, I would rather see Homer Bailey Pitch every 5th day than watch Josh Fogg give up Extra Base Hits every time out... Especially since he is going to be a 1 year Stop Gap... Belisle is not the answer either...

The only thing that would make this game (4-16-2008) perfect is if Coffey relieves Fogg...

Shouldn't start another game for this team, if we are serious about competing.

Good work man.

2 of 3 starts have been terrible.

If Matt is healthy stick him in he can't do any worse

I said at the beginning of the year that he shouldnt be allowed to start any games.

It only took 5 consectutive Cubs to reach Base before he was removed from the 3rd Inning...

Nice!

Hey... he did strike out 3 batters in 2 IP. That's a ratio of 13.5 K's per 9 innings.

somebody that has a future with the team should be our 5th starter. Anybody could be doing what foggy is doing.

Fogg has to go and please send Todd Coffey with him. I'd rather see Belisle and Bray up here helping the team than Fogg being Milton and Coffey being Stanton and pitching like crap.

if fogg goes who takes his spot in the rotation ? affelt bailey ?

Hondo

I would hope Bailey, Affeldt has Sturck out 5 in 2 innings. I think he is too valuable in the Bullpen...

I hope they don't put Belisle in there, even though there are alot of people who like him starting. I think It is a mistake, and he should be outta her with Coffey & Fogg...

3rd time in his career, Fogg has given up 9 to the Cubs

I wonder what kind of Package the Reds could get if they offered both Coffey & Fogg in the same deal?

Bailey should take the spot, live and die by the young arms. Fogg is a non factor w/ a clown grin.

That was Hillarious...

Yes, Bailey @ Bray should be called up, taking Coffey and Foggs spots...

I hope everyone is not going to say its only a few starts for Fogg... If that guy gets to pitch in a few more games, that could bury the team...

Coffey already has had enough chances, that guy has like 9 LIVES or something, I wonder if he has incriminating photos of someone in the Front Office...

An aging C-9 airplane that needs just a little bit of maintenance.

We do need an "OK" number 5 starter right now since we only have 3 off days through June 15th.

What the helk is the deal?

Votto goes 2 for 3 with 2 Doubles, and Hatteberg pinch hits for the Pitcher, then Hatteberg stays in for Votto at 1st Base, and Votto probably will have another chance to hit in the 9th? Of course Hatte did weakly ground out.

Whats up with that?

I would guess that Dusty just wants to keep Hatteberg fresh since it looks like Votto will get the majority of the playing time now.

Belisle has done well in Louisville; I hope he takes Fogg's place next time around.
