No doubt. I don't think there will be any dropoff when Valaika goes to Chattanooga and Frazier takes his spot either.

Looks like Mr. Francisco hit another home run. Think Reds have room for a third baseman? A lefty power hitter?

Watching these farm teams is more exciting than. . . you know what.

Waring and Frazier to Sarasota.

I'd give it three more weeks. Stubbs should be on the plane with Juan and Chris as well.

Not a very good outing for Camilo Vazquez as he allowed nine runs on nine hits with three walks and one strikeout in 2.2 innings. I said it before the season began, this is a guy who is a failed starter and needs to be tried in the bullpen.

Now that you said that, I think you're right. I thought Rick Sweet said yesterday that Belisle was pitching tonight and he was unsure how long Belisle would be with the team. MILB.com has Maloney pitching tonight but I think they may have just assumed that. My guess is Belisle starts.

Thinking from a winter trade season pov, no.

Remember, Bruce was the wonderkid, superman and Jim Coombs all roled into one. Homer was the hardheaded jerk who couldn't throw a clean game. While Bailey hasn't blown anybody away, early signs (surprising?) that he is throwing clean games and a little less hardheaded is probably skyrocketing his stock back up the ladder. What he is showing right now promises something possibly really good in a few weeks.

Jay on the otherhand has looked aloof and impatient to make things happen. Promises a delayed arrival and possible overestimation of his abilities. Homer, the opposite, his abilities were underestimated and we wait for him to finish his development ala Cueto.

Whether it turns out that way will be interesting to see.
