I am buying some baseball caps off MLB.shop.......I like the old ones, the ones i grew up looking at from late 60's and most of 70's.

Why is it that all the caps are made to bend on the bill but the new ones have the straight look? Is there a better website to get these authentic caps with better selections?

Thanks

Mickey's Place of Cooperstown has about the best selection I have seen anywhere on the Web:

http://www.mickeysplace.com/index.php/cPath/4_20

You might also consider Distant Replays: http://www.distantreplays.com/

or Dugout Memories: http://www.dugout-memories.com/

or Ballcap.com: http://www.ballcap.com/

I've read some complaints about the accuracy and/or quality of the stuff from Ballcap.com, though. If historical accuracy is important to you, you'll want to do your research using the various image search engines on the Web.

Thanks...I will probably go with the first selection. Much appreciated.

lids.com is another option and one I use often.

eBay's been my source. Luck out on bids, get cheap, quality hats.

Thanks to all.

I did get some caps from MLB.com.....some are already bent at the bill while the others are flat. The Red White Sox cap has always been a favorite of mine ...same with the original mariners cap.

The 2 reds hat's from the 60's (white/red and gray/red) i probably should have gone to Mickey's beacuse his hat's look more authentic.

I plan on ordering the home expos and middle 70's Braves hats from there along with the 1920's Browns one.

Now i know why people who ran into the field during the era before this was available always went for the hats.....these things are gold.

The Cincy Shop in Florence Mall had the old styles of several teams on clearance for about $5 - $10 each before they closed (or moved, I forget which) a few years ago. They had the old Expos, Blue Jays, and others. I now wish I'd bought some.
