I guess Kepps two GIDP on the first pitch and throwing error didn't do him any favors.

Hairston at SS? really?

Somebody on RZ talked about us seeing this one day.

Corey Patterson - CF
Jerry Hairston - SS

I can't recall who or exactly when, but they were right. I think it was on a thread that described Dusty and his placing batters in the lineup at Chicago and how that had contributed to their down fall in a season or so.

This is a game they must win. I'd rather see Votto in there than Hatteberg.

Just think a week ago it would have been

Patterson - CF
Castro - SS

Talk about a high octane lineup.

And I don't really mind it, especially for a "Sunday special." Looks much better than Fropper and Castro to me.

Agreed. Why sit a rookie who's stroking the way Votto is right now?

PS Bako should be the everyday catcher.

Day game after night game, west coast trip to follow. Good day to rest some guys, and Hatteberg hasn't had a start in a while.

Except for the fact that Votto is in his mid 20's. I find it amazing that he would need the rest this early in the season. Maybe Hatty needs a start here and there but with the way the reds are struggling, Votto's bat needs to be in the lineup. That said Hatty will go 3-4 with 3 rbi today.

PS Bako should be the everyday catcher.

Sure Bako has been hitting well this year, but that .629 lieftime OPS (with it never ending in the .700's or above) will resurface sooner than later.

The more you play Bako, the worse he will hit.

Ross, who has his own hitting problems, needs to get his hitting legs under him if he's going to be much use to us vs. LH pitching (where he's pretty good), especially with 2 games vs. the Giants coming up vs. LH pitching.

My guide indicates today's game on Direct TV's channel 639 and 722.

If Lance Berkman and Bill Hall could somehow have a baby, he would grow up and wipe out the entire city of Cincinnati.

A slider to Tejada or changeup would have ended that AB......i am sick of Berkman. Pitches like that....other hitters do not hit out...including the Reds hitters but him....hey, no problem. Fastballs away please.

Not me. Says it's available on local TV. Real smart, those MLB guys.
