No Rose in the lineup? I noticed in yesterday's game he made an error and had a caught stealing. I wonder if Sparky got a little peeved at him and set him down for a day?
Seriously weak lineup for the Reds but they scored seven runs. I sure would take that from the 2008 Reds.

John was another Red killer. After he came back from the surgery that was named for him, the Reds couldn't ever seem to beat him.

I wonder if Pete may have been under the weather or injured. He pinch-hit for Billingham in the bottom of the eighth and was intentionally walked, then was lifted for pinch-runner Gene Locklear.

Those were two pretty strong lineups, too!

Jeff Austin made his Reds debut in this game.

I was researching the immortal Jeff Austin and noticed that he was released by the Reds and then resigned three days later by the Reds. Why would this happen? Did the Reds and Austin agree the void the contract and restructure a new more Red friendly contract?

April 4, 2004: Released by the Cincinnati Reds.

April 7, 2004: Signed as a Free Agent with the Cincinnati Reds
