Juan Francisco, after going 88 atbats without drawing a walk to begin the season, walked in his first atbat tonight and has walked three times in the last six games. He's a walking machine folks. ;)

You ever think sometimes these guys are doing what comes natural, then someone complains/comments that they don't walk enough so they go up and prove they can?

Francisco's walk yesterday was intentional, so it doesn't count :D

Valaika's homer today was intentional as well, and it does count! ;)

Hopefully Val doesn't so a swan dive again, ditto for Turner and Stubbs. Nice to move all 3 up to AA by June.

I wish all players slumped like Jay Bruce.

Sub 340obp, sub-900ops for Bruce is slumping. He is struggling a bit with the offspeed stuff and it shows on missed walks and modest power. He is a good enough natural hitter, he hides his "slumps" well but I think it is pretty evident he isn't swinging a overly good bat right now. It is definitely delaying his arrival to the Reds.

Strike out and ground out. He'll be batting again in the top of the 7th.

Everyone's favorite batting practice pitcher is in for the bottom of the 6th. Majic man.

Wow, Majewski got an inning ending DP in the 6th. I guess everyone gets lucky once in a while, eh? :)

Bolivar led off the 7th with a bunt single, over to 3rd on an error. Janish and Bruce up next.
