That's gotta be on Dusty's philosophies more than anything. The hitters that we have that are struggling (Griffey, Dunn, Patterson) should have a clue how to get out of a slump at this point in their careers.

Dusty's philosophy is keeping Griffey and Dunn from hitting?
The next time a player gets the flu or something, I'm sure that will be Dusty's fault too.

Patterson wasnt very good to start with and Jr is getting older which usually results in a decline.
I think it is unfair to place all the blame on Dusty on all points.
Freel has swung the bat better and Votto/ Kepp have been doing the job so do we give Dusty props for that?
Stephenk29, my last comment wasnt directed at you but rather everyone placing all the blame on Dusty. I think it goes both ways.
If some guys do it, then how can we just blame Dusty for those that arent.

Dunn is struggling? Looks like he's playing the same way as always to me.

Dunn and Griffey just look clueless against lefties this year. Griffey is pulling off the ball more than a 9 year old knothole player. If I was Dusty, I would sit Griffey until he realizes that he can't be swinging for the fences every time.

I'm all for that lineup that dusty ran out there last sunday, bench Griffey and Dunnski for a few games and see what happens. Defense improves tremendously.

Time to trade the guys midseason if there's anyone who would be crazy enough to take them.
