In other news, Zack Greinke's final pitch plunked Nick Swisher in the hip, and my first thought was, "THAT's how you hit somebody."

Greinke said the right things afterward, that he had trouble with the fastball inside to lefties all day, that the 7th was his worst inning, it was hot out there, so maybe he just a little tired.

So then I thought, "THAT's how you avoid a suspension."

Ozzie may be a lunatic, but this club could use some fire like he has...

Baseball is not football (thank god), the type of fire that Guillen creates more often burns out or over burns, than burn correctly in this game.

Maybe not quite to the extent of Guillen, but a kick in the pants could do this team some good sometimes.

Dusty doesn't seem the kick in the pants type so far....but of course, I'm not in the clubhouse before or after games.

I think a kick in the pants is what fans want to see.

I'm not sure it's the solution.

I think people mistake "not trying" for "not interesting". I think the current Reds just play a boring brand of baseball.

I'd like to see more fire on the field, but it would be for entertainment purposes only. I don't think it would affect the W-L ratio. But at least I'd think they care about losing.

Get off my couch.

If we want "fire", we can always sign Jose Lima.

He was always fired up!

Is there a couch in the White Sox locker room? Just wondering.

If not, I'm not sure how those poor guys will make it through the season! Just don't take away Kenny's Wii!! He'll throw a fit and have to go into the time out lounge.
