Rumor has it Chris Valaika is headed to Chattanooga.
Who will be the next SS in Sarasota?

1.Frazier up from Dayton
2.Castro down from Chattanooga
3.Cozart up from Dayton.
4.Eymann down from Chattanooga.

Any other guesses?

Frazier played LF again tonight. I hope he gets the call but the LF thing
leads me to believe someone may be coming down. Dorn and Perales
should join the Sarasota OF real soon. Frazier may stay in Dayton and
play some more OF,3B and 1B.

Not at shortstop. Cozart will be the shortstop at Sarasota eventually.

Yes, Cozart will be there eventually but I hope Frazier is there playing SS soon if for no other reason than to get him at bats against more advanced pitching.

In addition to Frazier moving up, reserve infielder Brett Bartles was sent to extended spring training. Joining the Dragons today will be catcher Devin Mesoraco, the Reds' No. 1 pick in last summer's draft, and first baseman Logan Parker, who was rehabbing an injury. Parker was here last season. Both additions have played only in extended spring games so far.

Does this mean Mesoraco was doing well in extended spring training?

Castro also coming to Sarasota along with Tabor.

Castro got demoted? If so, you can officially close the book on Todd Frazier's career at SS.

That is the big question. Where is Frazier going to play? I know he will play some SS. Will he split time at 3rd with Francisco and 1st with Louswma? Tordi has been the back up 3rd and SS. If he DH's then where does that put DeJesus? What do you do with Danny Dorn and Daniel Perales?

I think we may see more and more of him in LF.

Frazier will move around. He's going to end up at 1B, 3B or LF. My guess is 1B or 3B.

The article also says that Valaika was sent to AA, leading to the movement of these other various dominos.

With Castro, Turner, and Francisco at Sarasota, I expect Frazier to be a left fielder most of the time, which is the correct move. Left field and first base. The right handed bookend for Mr. Votto. One of them plays first; one plays left. Lefty/right bats, offensive players. Perfect.

Castro's move may mean that Reds are keeping Valaika at shortstop for now.

Valaika is on the Chattanooga roster (#10) and Castro is not.

I agree, but they might as well teach Frazier to play left now and give him all the reps there while they have the chance. No need to train them both as 1B and then move one of them to LF once they reach the majors. It seems that they may have to get a stop-gap for next year (Alou/Ibanez/Floyd?), but Frazier seems primed to be Dunn's eventual replacement.

I'd think Frazier in left with some reps at first base.
