I believe he's the first Red to hit three homers since Aaron Boone did it in April of 2003 against the Cardinals.

Don't ask me how I remember that....

And he raised his OPS to .955, passing the mighty Bako for the Reds lead :)

That is correct.

Congrats Votto...killer day. More than half of his career home runs have come against the Cubs.

It's now better than Josh Hamilton's too....

I thought he wasn't supposed to have a lot of home run power. So much for all that.

Be nice to see a Red do to another team what guys like Bill Hall and Berkman do to the Reds.

...and he couldn't hit lefties or play defense. Scouts are not the gospel, thank goodness.

Hatt isn't much of a pinchhitter.he discussed a little while back that it is a new role for him and one that he is not comfortable with at the moment.

Wow. The feast or famine offense returns en force.

Votto at .305 with 4 RBI's today and 3 HR's. Nice.

He better get used to it 'cause I don't think there's anyone beating down our door to acquire him as a starting 1B

Votto has the top 2 videos on espn.com right now too when you visit their website.

It's kind of strange to see ESPN hopping on the Votto bandwaggon, but that's what they do.

Votto's stroke is so sweet. Nice and compact, very direct. I love the follow through, nice and controlled and still powerful.

You know, I'm loving the chemistry that these young guys are finding with Dunn and Griffey. I know "chemistry" doesn't necessarily win games, but I'd love to see the big guys start clicking and put this team on on a better footing. It could be a fun ride.
