On Prosportsdaily.com, The Denver Post and Cincinnati Enquirer have said that Colorado may trade for Fogg???

Could this be a Dream Come True????

Maybe we can get Troy Tulowitzki for him??? That was a joke.

By the way... has there already been this Posted? Been out of town and away from my pc for 10 days or so...

I think they might be throwing Patterson or Freel in to sweeten the deal. ;)

The guy from the Post thinks Cincinnati will DFA him. I don't see that coming. He should at least fetch a prospect from Colorado.

What are the chances of a guy like say Jolbert Cabrera making any impact on the Reds. That’s the kind of guy your going to get for Fogg. The million dollars however could be put towards a player that will actually make the Reds better.

Julian Tavarez was another target for the Rockies and I think he was just DFA'd.

I think redszone member TommyCash reported this rumor last week.

Look out for Fogg/Freel to Colorado for youth.

I guess what eludes my mind is why we feel the need to trade for someone else's talented youth when we have plenty of it ourselves.

Million dollars???? Isnt Fogg only making $400k ? How do we turn that into a mill?

I thought he was signed at 1 year 1 mill. I guess that was just the rumored Patterson contract misplaced in my mind.

I mean if you can put Fogg toward a package that gets you a player like say Garrett Atkins then do it.

$400k is guaranteed. But $1 mill is the major league contract.

A good deal, all things considered at the time.

Its actually been rumored that Atkins could be on the block this summer because he is blocking a pretty good 3B prospect that they have in the minors. Atkins can play first or third, so I would love to pick him up and have EE or Votto do what they can in Left. Really can't be any worse than Dunn.

But who knows rumors are rumors, nothing more.

I wonder what his numbers are away from Coors... But I for one do not really want Adkins... He is not the Offensive answer this team needs...

His numbers away from Coors are not stellar but I have to think that Great American would have a similar effect on them. I mean if it can turn Alex Gonzalez and David Ross into guys with 20 home run potential Atkins would probably benefit as well.

I think that he could help in a pretty big way. Giving us the right handed bat we need, although that wont be as big an issue next year when both Dunn and JR are gone.

I would hope for a trade, but I think they will have to DFA him first. He's not worth a prospect, and I believe that the Rockies know that. We could trade him for $1 maybe.

Incentives and Performance bonuses make Fogg's contract a possible 1.2 mil, i think I read somewhere.

I'd have to think that GABP would have a similar effect on his numbers though. It would almost be weird if it didn't.

I would wish for injured relief pitcher McClellan from the Rockies. He is from Toledo and has filthy stuff. He played well against the Reds last year in Cincy. He's probably out for the remainder of the year. It is reported that he should come back with no lasting effect from surgery.
