Doug, do you know anything about Del Rosario's pitch repertoire? I'm assuming he has a good offspeed pitch, since he's one of Soto's noted protégés. I know he started as Dayton's closer, then was moved into the rotation recently. His K/BB ratio looks good, and before today, teams were only hitting .159 off him.

Pettyjohn, Avery, and Raf Gonzalez going for the other teams tonight. Anyone have details about why type of stuff Gonzalez throws?

Janish is out of the game. With Keppinger out, I wonder if he will be called up after tonight's game?

He sure as heck better be. Hairston at SS long term scares me a lot.

I'll be at the Louisville game in the morning tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see who fills in.

Hows Valaika done since his promo?

Hows Valaika done since his promo?

He homered, singled, and walked in his first three plate appearances in Chattanooga but has hit a little rough patch since then. His overall line in AA is .174/.269/.348 - .617 OPS in 23 atbats. It's still very early though, a couple hits here and there and his OPS will be back up over .800.

Speaking of promotions. Janish is headed to Cincy. Turner to Chattanooga. I do not know who is heading to Louisville.

Nice to see Turner get a much deserved promotion. My guess is Michael Griffin will replace Janish in Louisville.
