Jon Lester of the Red Sox is pitching a no-hitter through 6 against the Royals. Game is on in HD on Extra Innings.

Any idea how to get the HD to work? I've got HD, but for some reason I'm getting the standard signal. The EI guide says it should be HD... Different channel?

'Tek homers. Sox up 7-0, btw.

I get Extra Innings through cable and they have a special channel for HD games. So it is on the regular Extra Innings channel in SD but I have it on the HD channel in HD.

Huh. I have it through Comcast -- wasn't aware of a special HD channel. I'll dig around a bit. Reds/Dodgers is on the HD channel too apparently.

No-hitter through 6.2 but he's thrown 92 pitches.

Should be a channel called GameHD and that is where they put the HD games. Usually get about 10 to 15 games a week in HD on that channel. I have Time Warner but look for it around where your other HD channels are.

No-hitter through 7 as he strikes out Guillen. Not sure if they will let him finish this as he is close to 100 pitches.

Guillen K's. No-hitter through seven innings for Lester but he's thrown 97 pitches.

Where? Can't find 'em.On Time Warner and a lot of other cable companies they have a channel called GameHD where they carry some of the Extra Innings games in HD. I am not sure how the satellite services do it but if you have cable you might be able to find that channel.

They let him start on 3 days rest a few weeks ago when the rest of the rotation all had the flu, so it's not like they baby him. I would think they'd let him keep going unless it gets ridiculous.

ExtraInnings superfan just went down to 50 bucks by the way. Just FYI for those who were considering.

I have Time Warner... searched through all my HD channels and can't find the damn thing. Maybe TW here in Cleveland doesn't carry it??

I hope for Lesters sake that Francona uses his brain and realizes a young pitchers future is worth more than a no hitter and allows Papbelbon come in to close it out.

We shall see soon enough.

I guess I could see him allowing to get to 120 pitches.

Hell yeah, let him go for it. Baby him his next start or two if you need to.

I just fired Comcast a nice big angry email. Sadly, it's not the first -- and I'm not the kind who complains about poor service.

It will be interesting to see what Francona does. I imagine he'll go out but basically be told that he's got something like 12 pitches to make it happen before he gets pulled. Anything but outs and he'll yank him out.

Quite a comeback story for Lester. He comes back from cancer last year pitches in the World Series and now throws a no-hitter.

That's right! Only four days off. Not bad, not bad at all. I thought Cueto was going to do it Friday night as nasty as his stuff was.

Good for him. John Lester is a great story, good to see something so great happen to someone who has had such struggles.

130 pitches is a lot for a young pitcher. Francona would be wise to baby him his next start.

I actually did too. I even called my Dad since he was out of town and told him I was hitting record on the DVR since I didn't think they had a chance at hitting his stuff. That was in the 4th inning.

My little cousin just called me looking for clarification of the definition of a no-hitter. She was outraged when they flipped on the game and there was a man on base. She says they need to tighten the rules

And as I left Fenway Park, I thought again about that feeling I had, that feeling you get sometimes as a sports fan, that feeling that, "Hey, I'm going to see something unforgettable." Truth is, most of the time, the feeling dies inside you because unforgettable things don't happen very often. Here's the great thing, though. Sometimes, they do.
