The Reds said Jerry Hairston Jr. left Wednesday's game because of dizziness.
Consider him day-to-day. Paul Janish will likely start in his place on Thursday.

Jerry Hairston Jr. left Wednesday's game in the first inning with an apparent leg injury.Hairston came up lame running out a grounder. Paul Janish took over at short and will be an everyday player for however long Hairston is out. Adam Rosales could be called up if Hairston goes on the DL.

Jerry Hairston seems to have injured himself in Wednesday's game. Whether a leg injury or dizziness, he will be day-to day. Janish will be the starter in the meantime.

A dizzy leg injury? That's certainly a new one. Is he related to Nick Esasky?

Chris Welch was highly suspicious of why Hairston left the game,"Dehydration? Has it reached 80 here today George?"

Can Jay Bruce play SS? ;)

Considering the fate of three of our shortstops this year already, I am not sure I would like to see Bruce anywhere near the position.

Playing SS for the Reds this season is like being a drummer for Spinal Tap.

Can Freel play SS???

EE, Freel, Phillips, Votto in the infield. Dunn, Bruce, Griffey in the OF (clumsy outfield there...).

No he can't, Free is awful at 2B and 3B, so SS is a little beyond his skill set.

I'd rather have Castro play SS than Freel.

Yup, I said it.
