If that's the case, then my husband must be the most evolved human on the planet! HA!

People with dementia, or head injuries in that area, often lose the ability to pick up on sarcasm, and so they don't respond in a socially appropriate ways.

So, the internet, in general, acts as a "supplement" that induces symptom(s) of dementia and/or traumatic head injuries? I can live with that.

According to Dr. Rankin, if you didn't get the sarcastic tone of the previous sentences you must have some damage to your parahippocampal gyrus which is located in the right brain.

I sprained my gyrus last night while out punning. That must be my problem.

I think that I have developed one of these from over eating
"your para hippo campal gyrus" :all_cohol

I guess that we are all equipped with social intelligence, must have misplaced mine. :p:

If it's a survival skill, then I'm probably going to live a very long life.

I get the sarcasm....Some people are better at it than others...but to me it has gotten to the point where that is the only way people can and do communicate. I think Seinfeld pretty much taught people how it was supposed to be done.

So it was those people who invented smilies?

So it was those people who invented smilies?

No Ohio State fans invented the smilies, so that Michigan fans could cope. :)

Smilies were invented so Krono could have something to say when he just has to post something and can't think of what to say.
