He is free to walk at the end of the season. I am really shocked some AL team hasn't tried to pry him away for almost nothing.
Well, the reason no team has tried to pry him away for almost nothing is because he'll be worth two draft picks in the offseason. Any offer should start from that level of value, or go nowhere at all.

the thing alot of people dont see is this, you can only get what other teams think he is worth. and those other teams have to have something we want. Its easy for 2 teams to sit down and trade type b or c players for other players of equal value, or less value. When talking about trading AD, he is whats considered a type A player, and no team in MLB is wanting to give us type A talent in return or even 2 or 3 type B players in return or minor league upper talent. Toronto's GM was speaking from his arse, but he might have been speaking from the truthfull arse, maybe that really is the line on AD, that he is lazy and does not put forth alot of effort. I am not saying its true, it might just be the real perception of AD. And if its true, no team is going to pay him more than we are when they can also go out and get a guy that doesnt give his all adn hit .230.
I am an AD fan, I want to build around him....I love his hidden stats that dont make the sports page. I love the fact that he walks as much as he does. Put the right group of players around him and you have the making of a great team. I just dont want to pay AD much more than we are paying him now, I wish we could get players to sign incentive contracts liek they do in football.
