Shunick, a fifth-round draft choice of the Cincinnati Reds out of North Carolina State, started the Dehler Park debut for the Mustangs and got the victory in a 9-7 win over the Great Falls Voyagers. Shunick allowed one run in five innings and struck out eight.
In his next start, Shunick got a no-decision in the Mustangs' 5-4 win over the Helena Brewers. He went a season-high six innings and allowed one run on one hit.
